Rescue of an Hawksbill turtle.

The "Treasure Divers" team members take part in the preservation of the environment and of the marine life, each time they have an opportunity to do so!
 
With the help of a local restaurant owner who is also a diver, an hawksbill turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata imbricata) has been rescued and freed back in her natural environment.

Stefano, owner of the excellent and very well known restaurant "Pequena Suiza", in Boca Chica, bought a few days before an hawksbill turtle from a local fisherman. He kept it in a salty water aquarium and gave it to our team to take it back to the ocean that it should have never left.

So our new friend the turtle did a little trip (in a very nice pink bucket) in our diving boat Ballenero III.


Once arrived on the site of the national marine park of "La Caleta", a charming woman (diver) released it.

After a few grateful evolutions for a last goodbye, it has gone back to its wonderful underwater world.
